Relatives of up to 650 victims killed in the Gosport Hospital scandal have still not received the counselling Jeremy Hunt promised seven weeks ago.
Many families only learned full details when a report into the deaths and prescriptions at the Hampshire hospital from 1989 to 2000 emerged in the summer .
When Lib Dem MP Norman Lamb met relatives last week they had heard nothing about the counselling.
The ex-Health Minister said: “Having waited 20 years to see these shocking findings they were overcome with grief. They need counselling.”
He urged Matt Hancock , who replaced Mr Hunt as Health Secretary, to act – and counselling will now start next month.
Dr Jane Barton, 70, was in charge of prescriptions. She has said she did her best for patients.
