A woman claims her botched £7,000 nose job has left her looking like Avatar character.
Guo Juan was mortified when she looked in the mirror after having the operation and saw she had different-sized nostrils.
The 28-year-old had forked out thousands for the rhinoplasty along with double eyelid surgery.
But she claims she is now forced to wear a mask wherever she goes because of her appearance.
For the last six months, she has been locked in a dispute with the clinic who carried out the procedure, Jaho Medical Beauty, which is based in Hefei the capital of Anhui Province in China.
She sobbed: “Look, my left nostril is bigger than my right. How am I supposed to show my face like this?”
Images show Ms Guo’s left nostril to be smaller and rounder, while her right one is thinner and longer.
She added: “They made my nose long and pointy. I look like someone from Avatar.
“I initially only wanted to have double eyelid surgery, but they suggested I do something about my big nostrils, too. They wanted to make my nose straighter and hide my nostrils.”
Zhou Ming – an official with the city’s Health Inspection Office – said the clinic was properly registered and had all its paperwork in order.
Zhou said his office was nonetheless investigating Ms Guo’s malpractice claim, but noted she may eventually need to go the route of arbitration to settle the case.
A Jaho Medical Beauty spokesperson told local media: “Every cosmetic clinic wants to make their clients look beautiful, but no clinic can satisfy its customers 100 percent of the time.
“Everyone’s physiological foundations are different, and so the results differ too.
“Beauty is also very subjective. When customers are unsatisfied, we always do our best to rectify their concerns.
“It’s not that we didn’t want to correct [her nose] – she didn’t come and let us communicate with her.”
Ms Guo did not reveal whether she was ready to take the clinic to court.
